It looks like you put a lot of thought into this lesson. I really appreciate all the detail in the setting, including the area for which the students come from, and all the specific detail about the child. I think the picture walk is a great idea and will help a lot with helping the child match written words to pictures. This will really help the child with ASD learn the vocabulary in the book.
The only thing I would suggest is that more detail be added to the beginning of the lesson. It has the vital parts, which are to comment, ask questions, and respond, but if I was just a substitute coming into a classroom and working with a child with ASD for the first time, I may not know what kinds of questions I should ask. Maybe a few examples would clarify this, such as "wh" questions and emotional identification questions. This is a great plan, and I think it would be great for emergent literacy students.

        Thanks Hillary! We thought it was a good book choice as well, the rhymes in the book are fun for kids!
