Hey, X. It was great to see that you (and Link, Emik and Shiva!) found the place, and not too long after it came into being. I share your enthusiasm for keeping it or some version of it alive for the foreseeable future, no matter whether our current hosts someday shut down the operation. We can achieve this by periodically searching the Web, or whatever has replaced it by 2300 AD, for the board's original title, and finding the latest iteration.

There was another board that I had managed to maintain just as long as this one. On it, your last post was a thread in 2002 or 2003 with a title like "Sigur Rós = Great". I agreed and told you to see them live whenever the opportunity might present itself. I happened to remember this exchange earlier tonight when their latest newsletter caught my eye. It turns out there is a presale event on Friday, during which fans will get the first chance to buy tickets, including the best in the house. You can register as a fan and get in on the action at sigur-ros.co.uk. I haven't seen them since 2006, and don't tend to listen to their type of music anymore, but I'm strongly considering tickets of my own. It's a gamble that you'll see this in a timely fashion, but I hope you do and that it's of interest.

I've also noticed that the music from the Legend of Zelda series now features in a concert tour, Symphony of the Goddesses. Is this something you've seen and can recommend?

Crono, you wouldn't believe how amazing it is to see this place. The urge struck me again to travel back to the old Dreamfire board, only to find - as you did - that it had finally been terminated.... more

They came to my area a few weeks ago, and I enjoyed the show so much that I had to see them again, even though it meant driving a few hours there and back, alone, on a night before work. The most... more

Not sure I could call it something I'd pop on in the shower but they had a very interesting sound that made for great ambient music. Overall I'd say I enjoyed it, thanks!

Would you believe that all these years later and I still haven't managed to catch a live Sigur Ros show? It's funny, a co-worker a few months ago was telling me they were in town and how incredible... more

Did you get a chance to see them on their most recent tour? They had a couple of Canadian dates. I'm glad I visited the board tonight and found your approval of the Symphony tour, as I see they're... more

Just realized my interpretation of the email was woefully off the mark. Tickets are now available to to the general public; it was on the 5th, not the 8th, that the presale began. That's what I get... more
