The Cognitive Process Theory of Writing information is very helpful for me. I really like what you said about learning to teach writing for Kindergarten children. This can apply to pre-school children as well. Using their illustrations, it is always interesting to hear them share the "story" they have drawn about. By the teacher then modeling writing as they tell about the drawing, allows them to learn and see the translating piece.
