Researched Based Instruction

I have been an EC teacher for 4 years now but my background is in general education. I have used a handful of researched based programs and they are all different and cater to a variety of students with disabilities. I will say that there is not one program that fixes every students problems and it is disheartening when you think a program will work but turns out that it was not as successful as you wanted it to be. Yes, I do believe that the BRI and the IRI will help pinpoint the students strengths and weaknesses but having a teacher that is knowledgable in many programs will help eliminate questions a teacher might have in turn promote success for the student and the teachers.
