Re: Writing Confidence

I realized last semester during our writing course that I must show confidence in myself if I expect that from my students. I approached this with my students that I was going to work on being more confident in myself so they had to do the same. I modeled mistakes and would point them out then try to fix them. My students would encourage me and tell me it was okay, not to worry. I thought it was so sweet and I saw them boost their confidence as they encouraged each other. I still struggle with conferencing with my students, because when I work with them they do not want me to leave them because they want to continue to share their writing and stories with me. I also try to model writing in my own journal. How do you set up your conferencing with students?
