You are completely accurate about the the fear students face when attempting to create a composition. Students so want to share their stories with us, but often are unable to begin when they are required to put their thoughts onto paper. The dictation setting on the macbook has opened the door for students to express their thoughts without the fear of misspelling words.

                I have never tried this app with my own students because we didn't have the 1:1 initiative when I taught students old enough to use it. The only experience I do have, was when my own child used it.... more
