Myfanwy Owen
Who, me?

Myfanwy had been summoned to the Headmaster’s office. She didn’t think that had ever happened before - she had totally been in the Headmaster’s office before, last year and this year, but she had always invited herself there. She wasn’t concerned at all, because she had been talking with Toby since the start of term about more sustainable food options for Rocky Mountain, specifically about free range eggs. There had been that wonderful vegan lunch that one time, too, so she was really optimistic about the message the Headmaster wanted to convey.

Therefore she cheerily headed to his office, knocked buoyantly, and was cordially invited in. “Hello, what’s occurring?” she greeted Toby informally (he was the Head of the school, but he had asked them to call him by his first name, and Myffi had already been quite chatty with him so she thought it was completely appropriate). She dropped into the offered seat, scooping her pink-and-orange tie-dyed t-shirt dress underneath her as she sat, the clashing shades matching the bright ribbon bow she had tied around her high ponytail.

“Now, do you know why you’re here?” Toby asked, and he didn’t seem his usual, cheerful self. She supposed it could be because he had bad news to tell her from the Board, but it didn’t really feel like that was the sort of greeting you gave to a person when you had bad news. Besides, they had discussed other alternatives, like keeping chickens on school grounds, so it wasn’t like a rejection from the Board necessarily meant bad news. Professor Morgan was far more positive than that.

“Well I had thought it was to tell me some news from the Board of Governors about our food,” she said, some of her confusion audible in her Welsh lilted voice. She wondered what else it could be about. Her grades were fine, there was no trouble at AgriClub as far as she was aware. Oh, he could maybe have found out about the other, less publicised extra-curricular in which she engaged, with Ruben’s help enthusiasm, but Myffi didn’t think that was the case. Their supplies were well-hidden, and Ruben or Kaye had no reason to tell the staff about the moonshine.

  • On a hunt for a misceant [Myfanwy] - Headmaster Tobias Morgan, Fri Feb 23 06:30
Enjoying a good vegan meal now and again was something that Tobias Morgan would admit to cheerily. Not all his meals were vegan, of course, but the idea of a meatless Monday had really struck him as... more

      • You, you, indeedy-do - Headmaster Toby, Sun Feb 25 18:25
It seemed Myfanwy was confused, which immediately resulted in a lack of confidence on Toby’s part. Disciplining students had never been his strong suit, and when a student didn’t quite know why they... more
        • Who sir, me sir? No, not me, sir. - Myfanwy, Mon Feb 26 05:36
It seemed she hadn’t been entirely incorrect in her original assumption, because Toby next told Myfanwy that the Board would be willing to hear her case. “Ohmygosh really?” she squeaked. It didn’t... more
          • If not you, then who? - Headmaster Toby, Fri Mar 9 06:29
Oh no, now Myfanwy was disappointed - Toby could tell in her voice. The last thing the Headmaster wanted to do was disappoint his students. Especially as Myfanwy was such a bright young spark! It was ... more
            • Beats me - Myffi, Thu Mar 15 10:46
It was a bit frustrating that Toby was continuing to blame Myffi - or if not her directly, some student associated with her - but it was also sort of exciting, because if he really hadn’t done it,... more
