It was a bit frustrating that Toby was continuing to blame Myffi - or if not her directly, some student associated with her - but it was also sort of exciting, because if he really hadn’t done it, and obviously Myffi hadn’t done it, then who had? It was a complete mystery. Distracted by the turn of events, Myfanwy frowned as she actually put some thought to Toby’s accusations, but she came up with nothing to offer. “I can’t think of anyone,” she said. There were lots of students in AgriClub, some more receptive to Myffi’s food standards ideals than others, but none of them stood out as being particularly enthusiastic or dedicated, certainly not enough to organise such a massive overthrow of a school mealtime. Buckley might attempt something that forced his opinions on others, but it obviously wasn’t him, because he definitely would have bragged about it.

While she still doubted Toby’s theory that a student had organised the vegan lunch - they would have run into all the same issues Myfanwy outlined about sourcing all the food and convincing the house elves to serve something different. It made far more sense that it was someone on staff, or even the house elves themselves (that was a thought that hadn’t occurred to Myfanwy before. She didn’t talk to the house elves much because she wasn’t entirely comfortable with their presence in the school in the first place, but one of the younger students did interviews with them and published articles in Rocky Voices, so obviously students could talk to them sometimes if necessary) - she was definitely on board with the suggestion it formed concerning Meatless Mondays.

“Oh, yes, definitely,” Myffi nodded her enthusiastic support of the plan. “I’ve talked to lots of students who I think would be interested in implementing some dietary alterations,” the Lyra siad - Bryn and Marley rose to mind, but she was sure others in AgriClub felt the same way. “That’s a great idea.”

  • If not you, then who? - Headmaster Toby, Fri Mar 9 06:29
Oh no, now Myfanwy was disappointed - Toby could tell in her voice. The last thing the Headmaster wanted to do was disappoint his students. Especially as Myfanwy was such a bright young spark! It was ... more
