Leon took the seat next to his Head of House. The boy's eyes still puffy and red, though he has seemed to stop crying for now. He took a loud exacerbated breath, then decided to speak.

“Okay, I guess I should apologize. It's my fault for not being able to deal with my fear of spiders. In my defense I would like to interject that i slept maybe 2 hours last night, and this is all extremely new to me, and I didn't know it was common practice to bring pets into class, and the darkness isn't helping, and I just need some time to get adjusted, and...” Leon took a moment to calm himself again counting backwards from ten before continuing. “Then Kit called me a crybaby instead of being understanding about my fear. Also I feel like she isn't able to offer the help I need… she seems to think I should get it just like that. That is not how people learn… and I got it now. Im sorry im not like her 8 year old cousin who doesn't cry… I am sorry that I have an irrational fear of spiders. I overreacted. Look, I did find a box. It’s over there and I was trying to make it up to her…”

The boy was fiddling with his hands as he explained himself, but looked towards the wall he was at just before the professor came. “I don’t want to get her into trouble or anything, I am just new to everything and it is all very overwhelming. I understand if you need to reprimand me, but please don’t call my mother, she will take me out of this school if she knew someone called me a name.” The boy looked up at Professor McKindy, he managed a half smile before fiddling with his hands once more. “I apparently need more training, my mom didn’t do so well, so if you would help in your spare time I would greatly appreciate it.”

Leon then turned to Kit, whom he had avoided eye contact with, “Sorry, but a Tarantula is a type of spider, it’s in the same family as a wolf spider which can kill, though very rarely, and while I know Darby isn’t going to kill me, when i just get a glimpse of him in the dark it really doesn’t help my nerves and I am… like I said… I’m sorry.”
