I often am. It’s mostly speculation to be honest!

Jesse was a quiet kid, but he seemed ok. His incantation was clear, and he was thorough in his approach. Jesse’s quip about his father’s viewpoint on life was certainly poignant and fair. Satveer felt his family had done a lot of trying and a lot of giving up.

As Satveer and Jesse walked, Jesse managed to spy a packet on the back of one of the chairs. As he held it out for Satveer, Satveer couldn’t help but feel pride. He didn’t know why he felt it. It wasn’t like he’d done anything to really assist the kid, but he felt pride none the less. “You have the first one.” Satveer said with a reaffirming nod, “You’ve earned it.” Maybe it was a mannerism that he’d picked up from his older brother, but Satveer thought that the success of Jesse using his magic to find the treats should be rewarded. After all, it was Jesse that found it.

As Satveer waited to see what was actually in the bag, as opposed to the prior speculation around its contents, he thought it best he searched the immediate vicinity for more packets. As Satveer spoke the incantation and illuminated his wand, he knelt on a near chair and leaned over its back. Perhaps the professor had paired up the prizes to make it easier. Sadly, the immediate vicinity was empty of packets and his search was fruitless. As Satveer stood back up, he turned to see Jesse peering into the bag, “Have we struck gold or just sweets?” he asked with a smirk.
