Re: I can roll with this

Cledan sounded like something you might call your owl not a person so of course it made sense that one of Myffi’s friends and/or relative had such a name. She was Welsh after all and it seemed to him that the Welsh just tossed a dice when coming up with names just so they could throw as many confusing sounds together as possible. Leo honestly couldn’t recall if she’d mentioned her ‘brownie’ dealer Cledan before but the name sounded kind of familiar. So perhaps Myffi was a regular user? That would explain how she was always so patient with others all the time. This made Leo feel better for being so impatient with everyone most of the time.

Leo wasn’t sure if there was an etiquette to be followed when consuming ‘vegan brownies’ but if there was he didn’t adhere to it. He swiftly shoved almost the entirety of the offered slice into his mouth in one go and boy did it taste good. Not at all as weird as he expected. He continued to stare into the flames in anticipation- of what he wasn’t quite sure- and at first he was disappointed, He didn’t feel like anything was happening so of course that is exactly what he told Myffi, “Nothing’s happening. Is something happening for you?”

Leo stretched out onto the grass, leaning back on his elbows and looked out onto their small empire of vegetation. It was all looking like a very green army sprouting in its little uniformed rows. He tried to feel proud of what they had accomplished. He'd just eaten some good food and polished it off with a very special round of brownies but he still didn’t feel as though all the effort they’d put in was really required. As wizards making food should have been a poof and we are done business. Myffi had conned him through friendship and genuine belief in humankind into wasting his spare hours toiling over some demanding pieces of glorified grass but for once he didn’t feel annoyed by the effort he’d wasted on an undeserving life form, merely bemused that something without a consciousness had managed to get him to do its bidding. His mouth spread into a slow, droopy smile and he glanced in the direction of his friend.

“I hate plants,” Leo said wide eyed after what felt like an age but was likely only a few minutes, “they just sit there and demand all our attention. I bet that’s why microwave meals took on so well. Waaay less effort than gardening.” He nodded to himself assured of the wisdom in his analysis and then without much thought emitted a loud “Ping!” noise as if a microwave had just come to the end of it’s cycle and a nice round of popcorn was waiting for them to snack on. Yes, Leo would really like some popcorn or perhaps some chips right now. He was starting to think maybe vegan food wasn’t so wholesome and filling. Maybe that was all part of Myffi’s womanly deception as well because he sure was peckish. Suddenly feeling very warm towards Myffi despite the food deception, Leo leaned closer to her and inhaled, trying to capture her scent.
