Headmaster Reynaldo Bonilla had a great term so far. Today was Halloween, and he had decided to throw a Halloween party this time instead of a traditional Halloween feast as Halloween was on a Friday night this term. The Headmaster had decided to throw the party in what everyone called the outdoor classroom. This location was because to get to the party the students and staff would have to go through a haunted trail.

He had classes end early for the Holiday at noon and him, and most of the staff had trekked out to the forest and put together some jump scares on the trail. He had laid down a disorientation charm that didn’t allow the students to see the field until they crossed into it. The whole time on the trail the students would see darkness and fog.

Once the students got to the field, they were welcomed by normal Halloween party things to do. There was plenty of food to eat some even being Halloween themed like finger sandwiches, or eye-scream treat. There was dancing to some wizarding rock bands.

On a table, there were some Halloween feel boxes that held items that feel really gross but were normal things. Dried apricots felt like ears, peeled grapes felt like eyeballs, fuzzy pipe cleaners could be spider legs. His favorites in the boxes always were the peeled tomato and cooked pasta.

There was a pumpkin carving station. There was a pumpkin ring toss that used glow necklaces as the rings. There was a trampoline that threw you into a spiderweb, and you could hang out until the staff running it got you down. He had gotten the idea after seeing the Muggles’ Velcro wall. There was also a carnival slide. A ninety-foot slide that had lots of lights that turned different colors with five lanes to ride down. The students and staff would ride down on mats that Rey had charmed to look like horror movie monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, or the Swamp thing.

Rey also knew it would be hard to get the students into their rooms by curfew he had decided to cancel it as long as the students were at the party or camping out on the Quidditch Pitch. He had set up three tents there for sleeping and bathrooms at ends of the Pitch. All the tents were all gender, but staff would be policing the tents as would his perfects. He figured his students would self-police enough that nothing would happen the one time he took away curfew away. If anything did happen, then they would know he would never do something like this again.

A little further away from tents, there were a few bonfires for the students who didn’t want to sleep. He would encourage the telling of ghost stories and s'mores near them at the end of the night.

For now, he was standing in line on the slide with his sons Javier and Diego. Beatriz had chosen to leave RMI for her second year and attend La Escuela since she hated being the Headmaster’s daughter. He could understand that, but he would make Javi and Diego all attend RMI at least the first year. But Rey had some time with just them here with him. He smiled over at the person behind him. “Having fun, I hope!” he said with a cheery smile.

        • Not the most accurate of labels - Rose, Sat Sep 2 11:47
Rose made a face at Danny. He’d mostly made up with Marissa, so Rose was no longer as mad at him, but the point still stood that he should have been less of an idiot when it came to Rose’s closest... more
