I think so?

The Lyra had not put too much thought into the RMI houses before Drew had brought it up. He began describing each one of them, and Sara was enthralled by it. The second-year began thinking about everyone she knew from RMI and if they fitted into their houses. Some of them did, but some were kind of iffy. There were probably other things thrown into the mix when students got sorted into their respective houses. Though she couldn't see why she had been placed in Lyra, but it wasn't something that bothered her too much. Sara made a mental note to seek a professor and had him or her about the sorting, maybe Headmaster Bonilla? She shrugged internally and continued listening to Drew. These conversation tangent was pretty good, if she was honest.

Any distraction from the actual assignment was good. Sara was a bit stressed about it, if she was honest. Why couldn't she just do what she been able to do at home? It was infuriating!

And then Drew pointed her attention to the wiggly circle she had left on top of the desk. Her eyes saw it, she cringed and then shrugged, “I’ll make it better in a bit,” she said with more confidence she felt, but there had to be something in her notes that would help her correct her mistake. Maybe she had flicked her wand a second before? She would figure it out later.

Right now, Sara wanted to continue talking about anything else other than the assignment. “Why do you think you don't really fit any of the houses?” Sara didn't know anything about the boy that she had partnered with for this class, but her current opinion of him was very favorable. He was cool and patience, and he had been nice about her wiggly circle. The Lyra smiled in anticipation to his answer. There was nothing better than making new friends, and she now considered Drew to be her friend, even if he didn't. “There has to be one thing you have in common with your house,” she insisted a bit.

Sara’s attempt at changing the bean was not quite as good as Drew’s color-changing spell. To her credit, it did turn into a circle. Ish. It just wasn’t a very circle-y circle. Drew glanced at the... more

Okay, and Sara did not want to work on the assignment, because she was all “I’ll do it later,” which was fine except that the class was only so long. Like, she’d eventually have to do it. In the next ... more
