Mikael Lundqvist
I could use a review of that

It took only about ten seconds after Mikael Anselm Lundqvist had passed through the doorway to realize that something was very weird about the lab-room today. For some reason there was a chair with big squishy arms beside him, even though that did not seem very practical for a Practical Lab, and the windows opposite had new curtains. The curtains were a nice shade of dark green, except too nice and exactly the same shade as his shirt today. Weird. Anssi pulled the sides of his robes more snugly around him and resolved not to stand close to the windows. He had a new roommate this year, a transfer whose name he couldn't remember how to pronounce but it also started with M, and the new boy was very particular about appearances. He'd probably say something if he noticed Anssi's clothes matched the curtains. That would be embarassing.

Interestingly, by the time Professor Embers had finished introducing the class topic, he realized that the curtains had changed to more of a blue-green and felt immediately a bit of relief that he didn't have to worry about holding his robes closed. He much preferred to wear them open. Actually, he preferred even more not to wear them at all, like Ruben and Kaye who never wore their robes, but they were both - well, Kaye was an older student and Ruben was graduated now. And if his roommate wore robes to class, he felt like he should do the same, at least for now.

The small blonde didn't have to look for a partner, as one of his fellow Dracos spoke up right away from beside him. "Hej Keith," he greeted politely. They weren't as good friends as him and Remy or Drew or Kit (Dade was excluded from that list, because even though they had spent more time together last term and Ruben seemed to like him, Dade was... intimidating. As the younger brother of a very punchy Swedish man, he was aware of the irony in saying that, but it was true!). However they had interacted in small bits in the commons or classes the past years, and so he was comfortable pairing with Keith today.

"I have not been trying this spell since the first time we were learned how to do it," he admitted, his English clunky after spending most of the summer not speaking the language. Mamma and Pappa were both bilingual, or technically trilingual, and they both tried to make him practice English more or at least enough to keep up, but all three of them preferred to speak what they knew best. "But if you are good, can you go first now and remind me how to do it?"
