It was possible that Danny didn’t want to talk about the summer. If he didn’t say anything, then it meant that he really frolicked at those pureblood parties. She knew that it shouldn’t bother her, but it did. Thankfully, Danny spoke up and decided to tell her things. That was better than if he hadn’t. The last thing she needed was the chance for her imagination run wild.

Marissa made a note to look into what the game Outcome actually was. That might be something she’d want to play someday, even though she had no idea what the game required. With that away in her mental filing cabinet, she listened to Danny talk about the two girls. She honestly felt surprised that there were two. Danny wasn’t a fling type of person, but he’d actually done things with more people that summer than Marissa had. It totally balanced out, though, because Marissa had done way more things with her one person.

The red head paused, and then smiled a little. “Sounds like you had a good time this summer. You’ll have to teach me what Outcome is, sometime.”

And then Danny said the sentence, “I don’t care about the movie.” That was exactly what she wanted to hear. Marissa wouldn’t likely own up to the fact that having some kind of overnight date/not-date with Danny was a huge reason she’d chosen this theme for the welcome back party, but she wouldn’t entirely deny it either. She kissed him more insistently and allowed herself to feel very pleased by the party results. If anyone needed help, hopefully they’d ask Rose before they asked her. Marissa was busy.
