Camilla Baird
Ugh! Horrible
Wed Nov 29, 2017 14:23

Spring time had arrived and with it the blossoming of new life. The blonde Cetus thought that spring was the second best season after autumn. It opened new possibilities and in this particular case, it started the countdown for her RMI graduation, and Camilla couldn't be happier or enthused to leave her basic schooling behind. The 18-year old didn't hate the school, but it wasn't her favorite place. Yes, she had fond memories and was happy to leave with new and old friends, but she had a great future ahead of her. And she couldn't wait. Camilla had received her acceptance letter personally addressed by the Provost of Harvard courtesy of her grandfather, Alec Edwards. She had jumped and screamed and cried and laughed out of excitement when she had opened it and processed the words written in the paper. She, Camilla Baird, had been accepted into one of the most competitive magical law programs in the United States! For the next five years she would be attending classes in a lovely institution and competing, academically wise, with people similar to her. She was excited, even when Harvard was very close to Boston. The blonde had thought about attending college outside of the United States to widen the geographical gap between her mother and her since she could be a bit overwhelming at times, but at the end the program she wanted was near home. It was okay. She was sure her mother would sort of forgot about her just like she did when she was at RMI.

The blonde had started a To-Do-List, her first item was asking if she could live off campus, because the idea of sharing a tiny room with someone else was not very appealing, besides she had done just that for the last seven years and she hated it. Maybe in a bigger place she wouldn't mind sharing it, but right now it was hell. She felt like her things ended up missing half of the time, but also that could meant she had too much things which was something that did not particularly bothered her. She was well aware of her shopping problem and she didn't really care. She cared when she wanted to wear a particular top and it had mysteriously disappeared to appear a few days later.

The other important thing that clung to her thoughts was what would happen once Elijah and her graduated. She knew he had applied to an Auror program, but she didn't know anything other than that. Maybe she hand prodded the topic any further out of fear of what would happen to their relationship. They had been apart for long months and the idea of that happening again made the blonde a scared. Camilla had shoved that into the farthest corner of her mind and focused on the present. The amazing, beautiful present in where they were happy and together. The blonde smiled at the thought of her boyfriend and continued her trek towards the Finer Diner to have some breakfast. Camilla was starving! She had gotten up earlier than usual and started her exercise routine a bit earlier because she had an appointment in Pearl Street before her Spellwork class. The seventh-year was tempted to just slack a bit after being already accepted, but she actually enjoyed the classes she was taking, with the exception of Defense Against the Dark Arts. She hated the new professor. She had no idea how Cindra Embers had managed to gain the position of DADA professor, seriously. She wasn't impressive in anyway, other than her rather interesting fashion choices. Okay, Camilla had slacked a bit, well A LOT, in Defense and she didn't regret it one bit. She had her tutor sessions with Mr. Hunter and even when they were focused on dueling, it still counted. She was sure she was above average in that class from the rest of her classmates. It was a pity that Ivy had left RMI, though she hoped the former DADA professor was doing better.

During her walk towards the Finer Diner she was cornered by Heather Bartel. The blonde had nowhere to escape and had to listen to her ask incessant questions about Elijah and her, and how they had ended up together since the last she had heard was that she had been dating another guy and then suddenly he was gone and Elijah was in the picture. Camilla had blinked a couple of times before frowning. Heather had taken a step back and stopped badgering her, but she started talking about the continual RMI gossip mill and how Ruben and Kaye were dating or something. The Cetus internally pitied Kaye for having to deal with such an asshat, though from what she knew about the younger witch they sort of made a good match. An imperfect perfect match? She wasn't sure since she didn't know Kaye well enough other than her interesting fashion choices to have a very rounded opinion on the fifth year. She knew enough to Ruben to last her a lifetime, if she was honest. With great difficulty Camilla escaped Heather’s clutches with the promise of catching up later which she was going to avoid at all costs, especially since she had never had any sort of relationship with Heather Bartel other than a smile or nod when they passed each other in the hallways.

By the time she had arrived at the Finer Diner the blonde was in a bit of a mood. Camilla hungry and annoyed at Heather. Who did she think she was prodding into her life like they were best friends? She was bonkers and the blonde had little patience for her if she was honest. Damn Heather, she had put a little black dot in her otherwise nice morning.

As Camilla entered the place where food was deliciously consumed, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The tables were ladded with the usual food and the scent of breakfast happily changed her mood as it hit her nose. The blonde was sporting a springy”> outfit. The Cetus sat down on her usual table, but as she placed her beautiful LEATHER backpack on the chair next to her something unusual caught her eye. A pamphlet or some kind. She curiously grabbed it and started reading it and as she went further, the frown on her face deepened and her outrage increased. How dare she!? The Cetus usually tried very hard to stay out of trouble, especially after Ruben and Rose, but how could she do this!? This was graphic! And horrific!

Camilla got up from her seat and walked towards where Miffy was sitting down. She forcefully placed the piece of paper on top of the desk, “Why do you think it's okay to disturb everyone’s breakfast?” Her anger and outrage were evident on her face.
