I could eat!

Satveer wasn’t feeling one hundred percent, but he was certainly feeling better than he did the previous week. His cold was subsiding, and his voice was starting to loose that dullness resulted in people to ask him to repeat himself or ‘stop mumbling’. He was generally a healthy child and colds never really phased him. This one however had gotten the better of him and could be attributed to a combination of outdoor classes and the spring showers.

As Satveer sat sipping his Yorkshire Morning brew (tea, white with one sugar) he stared at his bowl of cereal, contemplating whether fried eggs on salted butter toast would be a better breakfast option when a Myffi shaped blur fluttered behind him thrusting leaflets in his general direction.

Whilst he hadn’t really tried to connect with Myffi, the scuttlebutt was that she had a bit of a reputation. It wasn’t a bad one, or at least not as Satveer saw it, but it wasn’t fitting with what went on at RMI. As he sipped his tea, Satveer perused the leaflet as it was causing something of a stir.

The leaflet itself was well written and offered some (potentially) shocking insights but Satveer didn’t care – to change his behaviour, his expectation, was too much effort right now. Being honest with himself, Satveer would eat what he was given, but he found American food in general was too sweet. On more than a couple of times Satveer had found himself on something of a sugar high after a large breakfast. He couldn’t help but agree with the muggle documentarians Michael Moore and Jamie Oliver, something must be done – just not by him.

He placed the leaflet on the table and slurped the remainder of his tea. He chuckled a little to himself and mumbled to the student next to him “It’s a good job they don’t serve black pudding…”
