Oh great, it was Connor’s girlfriend getting in his way with her prissy little lemon in her prissy little water. Why did she even think she was allowed to sit with Dade, anyway? Where was Connor? Just because Connor wasn’t around didn’t make Dade his automatic replacement or something like that. He wasn’t friends with Claudia. She wasn’t exactly as stupid as everyone else was, but she wasn’t not stupid either. Except that apparently she was going to do the thing that Connor did where he said a polite thing but didn’t actually mean it. In this case, she was going to imply that she understood it was her fault for getting in the way, but she wasn’t actually going to move out of his way. Great. Stupid purebloods.

“You’re supposed to move now,” the second-year pointed out. “You don’t just say that and not move, you say that and stop doing what you were doing to annoy someone, like being in their way. And before you say it’s not important or something,” Connor would say something like that, and if Claudia was like Connor that meant she would too, “look at this.” Dade shoved the ‘menu’ in Claudia’s face, then pointedly took another bite of scrambled eggs.”She,” the boy gestured with his chin, “decided this was a good idea.”

Watch Claudia side with the stupid transfer, though. She was probably a girl like that. Remington wasn’t like that. Well, she cared about animals and stuff like that but she wasn’t the sort of person to go shoving things like that at people during meals. And Kit wasn’t a girl like that, although there was some debate as to whether Kit was, in fact, a human at all, nevermind a girl. But Claudia was exactly the sort of pureblood girl who would find this sort of thing ‘repulsive’ or something and then never eat another piece of chicken ever again even though it was clearly based on some Muggle nonsense and not in actual, wizarding reality. And it wasn’t like they were all sitting around eating Muggle chickens or whatever. What, were they just going to send a house-elf to the supermarket with the Muggle nannys and children or whatever?

“You’re supposed to move now,” Dade continued, trying Claudia’s patience. There was really no need nor excuse for his rudeness; Connor was obviously the epitome of politeness, and while Rose had... more

Okay, Dade would admit to being pleasantly surprised. He had expected Claudia to be at least as prissy and annoying as Connor, who would probably be horrified by the information on the fliers. Connor ... more
