Time to get used to magic!
Sun Jan 14, 2018 12:38

Keith Allen stood in his Father’s kitchen clutching the dream catcher. Since Perspective Student’s day Keith had been given a crash course in the Wizarding World, and for once the scientifically minded Keith actually believe Charles. His mother, Helen had been resistant to Keith attending a magic school but had given in once she saw that Keith truly wanted to go to. So, here he was standing in Charles’ small kitchen in Scottsdale Arizona wearing robes and holding a dreamcatcher. The strawberry-blonde was about to ask her father again if he was confident that the dreamcatcher was going to transport him but before he could get the words out his stomach was in his feet.

The eleven-year-old wanted to scream as he was pulled from Scottsdale to the entryway of Rocky Mountain International, but the sound didn’t escape his lips until his feet hit the ground. When he hit the only noise to escape was a small squeak. Charles had warned Keith how portkeys worked, but he had not informed him about the feelings. Keith was going to have to send his father a strongly worded letter via owl about that. The first year sighed as he straightened his robes and made his way towards the Deputy Headmistress.

They were lead into Finer Diner and lined up against the wall. The Headmaster began his speech. The hazel-eyed adolescence shifted uncomfortably as they were told to look at their dream catchers. Keith’s had turned red and gold. The newly minted Draco smiled and made his way over to what he assumed was the Draco fire. It was the only one that matched his dream catcher after all.

Keith sat down at the fire and smiled at the others around it. He then turned his attention to the Headmaster for the rest of his speech. When the doors opened, and an army of house elves came out toting trays of food Keith was amazed. Charles has told him about house elves, but Keith had never seen one in person. The first to approach him with a tray had french fries on it. The Draco wanted to touch the house elf to see if it was real but he refrained himself not wanting to be “that kid” on his first day of Wizard School. So, he took the fries with a thank you and glanced around.

“Hello!” he said to the person on his left. He couldn’t remember if they had been standing in line with him or not, so he asked. “This isn’t your first year here is it?”
