If you say so

The older boy introduced himself as Brynjolf and quickly added in his nickname. That was good because Keith wasn’t sure if he would remember the -jolf part of his name. Although he might because it was indeed a more unique name then Keith. Growing up the blonde had been one of three Keith's in his grade in elementary school. He wondered if RMI had any other Keiths, it wasn’t impossible, but it was unlikely as the number of students in the hall was less then his old public school.

Keith listened intently to what Bryn was saying about the Professors. He mentally filed away the most relevant information. From what Dad had told him about the classes Keith thought he might like Potions the most. It seemed the most like an actual science class.

When the fifth year mentioned Quidditch Keith’s eyes lit up. Dad had taken him to a few games this summer and even taught him how to fly. Keith had not been the sportiest person in the Muggle world might be one in the Magical world. “Yup, my Dad is a huge Quidditch fan,” Keith answered honestly. Dad had warned him that some people looked down on Muggles and that he shouldn’t admit to having a Muggle mother until he was sure he could trust them. While Bryn seemed like a decent dude, it wasn’t like the Draco to trust anyone who was kind to him.

“I might try out for the team in the Keeper or Beater position,” Keith said with a shrug. It seemed like those were the best players on the team. The keeper was a lot like goalie and beater just seemed awesome. Who wouldn’t want to wack ball of hurtling death at other students? “Do you play?” he asked his eyes scanning the much taller student.

Bryn was relived to hear that Keith did in fact know what Quidditch was. “That’s good,” he said, grinning. While it had taken the Draco some time to understand what the sport was, he’d been addicted... more
