I’m here to help

Caleb didn't receive a response right away but instead Claudia continued to walk presumably out of the sight of everyone in the Finer Diner. He didn't blame her, to be honest. She was crying in the middle of a public place with an audience. The blonde stopped for a second trying to assert what to do next. He leaned his head to the side visibly thinking, he blinked a couple of times, and continued his pursuit of the younger witch. She was obviously upset, and even when he had been dumb enough to follow someone he didn't know when they were visibly upset he wanted to help. Or try, at least.

Once Claudia finally stopped - not that he had to run after her since she was wearing a skirt and heels that were obviously making her flight more complicated that anyone crying in public would have wanted - Caleb looked at her, worry clearly reflected on his face. He was sure Claudia didn't need protecting, but he was a brand new big brother to a girl and something just made him pursue her. He would hate to see Penny crying like that, especially if he or any of his brothers had been the cause of such a response.

The older wizard had expected the response that came from her, but he was still bit surprised. No one would believe the words that came out of her lips. He blinked again and leaned on the wall besides her in silence. Caleb placed his hands in the pockets of his jeans, and looked at Claudia.

“You don't seem like it,” he stated the obvious. Yeah, that was a great way to start the conversation with a crying anyone. Caleb took a deep breath, and leaned a bit towards Claudia.

“It's okay,” he assured her. “You don't have to tell me what happened, but do you mind if I keep you company?” he asked hopefully. A small grin tugged ihs lips. He knew from experience, well his mom mostly, that some people liked the company even if they just stayed there wait. It was comforting or something. Caleb didn't understand a lot of things very well, but his mom had always instilled in him the need to be there for others. The blonde wanted to offer a hug, but that was too weird and he knew it. They didn't know one another. Even friendly Caleb knew that was going too far. He settled with just being there for the time being.
