Where's Scooby-Doo when you need him?

Keith was happy to see that the person he had spoken to was none other than his roommate, Jesse. Charles had been surprised when Keith had mentioned not knowing much about his roommate besides his name and that Keith had caught him a few times staring at walls. Not that, that was a big deal. When Keith was in deep thought, it would seem like he was staring at the wall. Once, while thinking at a restaurant, he had accidentally stared at an older lady who had called him rude. To be honest, Keith hadn't even noticed her, he had been too deep in, but she hadn't believed him.

Thankfully, it seemed like Jesse hadn't minded his absentee roommate as the boy took the fries and then launched into a story about how his mom had made healthy french fries. While he spoke, Keith took a basket of chicken tenders to complete his meal. He watched as Jesse ate his fries with chili. Before Keith could get a word in edgewise, it looked like Jesse was about to bound off to get him.

"No worries. I don't like chili." Keith said waving off his roommate. "Ate too much camping once. Haven't liked it since." He didn't want to go into detail as it had not ended well at all. Since then Keith hated chili even, chili fries.

He ate some chicken tenders and then looked at Jesse. "Did you have a good summer?" Keith suddenly felt bad. He wasn't sure if Jesse was from a magical or muggle family. He knew Jesse didn't know this about him either but it for some reason it made Keith feel terrible. "I spent the whole summer with my Dad. We went to a bunch of Quidditch games for the Four Corners."
