We got some work to do now

Keith munched on his fries as Jesse nodded that he had a good summer. When his roommate spoke, next Keith heard the melancholy in his voice. This caused the blonde haired boy to frown a bit. Yet, his roommate was talking, so Keith focused on what he was saying. The dog sounded nice Keith had never had a pet before. Mom wasn't into animals and Dad always lived in an apartment, so there was no room for an animal.

When Jesse spoke about his brother Keith was surprised. Felix sounded like a little brat and thought that Jesse was too nice to deal with that crap. "Of course not! I don't think you are fat and there's no reason to move your stuff." Keith said with a frown. He really enjoyed Jesse as a roommate and wouldn't want to upset him. In fact, Jesse had made learning to share a room easy and comfortable. Last term they had never gotten in each other's way.

"Man - next summer we should keep in touch. My Dad kept telling me to invite friends over for sleepovers but since I really didn't talk to anyone much last year I didn't think you'd come." It was true in the first few weeks Charles had asked Keith a hundred times if he had wanted to invite any friends over. Charles had even set up a bunk bed in Keith's room before he had gotten home. The second-year knew his Dad hadn't meant to make him feel bad about not making friends, but it had made the boy realize just how lonely RMI had been the last term. Thankfully, he was already changing it by speaking to his roommate.

Keith thought for a moment. "Your little brother sounds like he needs to be put in his place. Thankfully, I only have one sibling, and she's only a year old. She's one of the reason's I stayed with my dad this summer, too much crying. Plus I needed help with magic." The second-year boy offered. He knew it didn't add up to how evil Felix seemed.
