Eh, words

“Wait, shut the eff up,” Kaye blinked her heavily lined blue eyes in complete surprise. “There were brownies? And you shared them with Nolan and the peg leg didn’t even save me a bite? The traitor!”

The existence of the brownies weren’t really that much of a surprise. The things they were made out of were all natural and organic, which screamed Myffi. Honestly, if there was going to be a supplier in the school, she’d make the most sense. Kaye couldn’t believe she hadn’t thought about it before. She already knew about the home brewed alcohol that Myffi and Ruben made. What if Myffi was using AgriClub to grow even more things? Kaye hoped it was true. That would make the other girl about a hundred times more interesting in her eyes. Plus, she really needed people besides Nolan to hang out with.

Myffi’s choice of people to share with was a little odd. Nolan, Leo, and Marissa. Kaye hadn’t interacted with Leo much and this made her want to get to know the guy a little better. He always seemed grumpy, which was one of Kaye’s top five moods. Nolan participating surprised her, and she was going to make sure to call him out on not sharing with her later. Marissa… well, there was zero shock there. If anyone was going to weasel their way into someone’s booze, it was the former Aquila. Like her or not, she had this charm about her that worked out in her favor.

“Well, next time, I’d loved to be included,” Kaye grinned. She heard Myffi say she wasn’t planning on bringing more, but that wasn’t what she wanted to hear, so she ignored it. Reaching out for a pastry that made its way to the table when Kaye wasn’t looking, she couldn’t help but smile even more. If she was part of this little group now, maybe her year was going to turn out okay. She loved the idea of being part of all this.

“You are the most interesting Head Girl the school has ever had,” she commented, mouth full of chocolate chip bagel. She swallowed, enjoying the warmth of the bagel and the slightly melted chocolate chips. She would be fine if she got to leave RMI early, but the food was almost worth staying all the way until graduation. “I don’t think I gave you enough credit before. Now it totally makes sense why you and Ruben hang out.”
