I was going for "Never Surrender" but that works!

Her brown eyes were back to skimming over the shelves when the boy gave her a very honest answer.

“I’m looking for a book on curses or jinxes or something. I want to turn my roommates’ teeth into jelly.

Remington blinked, a little surprised, and then a little amused. Were there spells for that? She was certainly curious. When she was tutored in magic by a friend of her mom’s, it was mostly just theory and history. She hadn’t even gotten her first wand until she was ten. Her knowledge of spells was very limited. Her parents weren’t trying to protect her or anything; it just made more sense to teach her about history and culture. That’s what they thought, anyway. Remington wasn’t so sure. She still felt pretty Muggle in this very magical school.

“I don’t have any roommates,” she decided to say while turning her curious gaze back on the boy, “I’m the only first year girl in Draco, so they’ve got me in a private room. Which is nice, but a little lonely.” She paused. “Sorry about your roommates.” She added for good measure. The only child would take a private room over dislikable, jinxable roommates any day.

Her face lit up when he suggested that they look together, and she stepped more to the side so he could join her at the shelf. Now that she knew what she was looking for, instead of just a general requirement of ‘spells,’ she felt like she’d find something.

“I’m Remington, by the way,” she said with a smile, pulling a book titled Hellacious Hexes off of the shelf to skim through the table of contents. “So why jelly teeth?”
