Camilla Baird
That would be weird
Mon Nov 20, 2017 00:35

Camilla had been taught from an early age that a girl of her ancestry should always look her best, and as a neglected child she usually riveted in the occasions where her mother wanted to go shopping with her. It didn't matter that her mother only asked her out for their “bonding time” because she wanted something she couldn't afford. Her trust fund had quite the restrictions to prevent Grace Baird from spending it in something that wasn't Camilla focused. She had learned after some huge Grace tantrums about those restrictions. The young girl had no idea, but after she turned 11 a lawyer had been her trustee. Something had happened with her mother and the Edwards lawyer, because suddenly she had no access to the money. She had learned through her lawyer that Grace had tried to make a big withdrawal to buy a bigger house and it had been turned down. The news had gone to the higher powers and Grace couldn't touch her money, and thus the “Shopping Bonding Time” had started. Throughout the years, Camilla had caught on and stopped indulging her mother in shoes she didn't really deserve.

The blonde knew her trust fund was nothing to snub and more money had been added to it after her grandfather had decided she was good enough. Mrs. Randolph had told her that her personal worth had incremented to the point where no one was questioning the fact that her surname wasnt actually Edwards, but Baird.

The Cetus had never thought much about the money she had in the bank, but she was well aware that she had some privilege some didn't.

So, knowing that she could spend large amounts of money on things she didn't necessarily need, she had the habit of going up to Pearl Street at least once a week to indulge in some good old retail therapy. Camilla loved walking by herself, trying on different outfits and enjoying the time to herself. Sometimes the need to clear her head was much greater than anticipated, and Camilla ended in Pearl Street more than once per week.

This day was one of those days. The Cetus had woken up earlier than usual, as something inside of her tugged her to get out of bed, get ready, and head towards the place where she felt more at ease. She loved going from shop to shop her fingers carefully treading over the finest silks and cotton and cashmere. Camilla walked towards one of her favorite boutiques and was surprised to find Claudia, Danny’s sister there too. “Thank you,” she said with a smile as she walked into the store and left the door open for Claudia. “Coming in?” she said with smile.
