It had taken Caleb a brief nanosecond to realize just what had escaped his mouth. The blonde blushed heavily as his eyes slowly searched for the floor. Caleb was embarrassed to blurt out something that he had never said out loud before, and to say it to Nolan? It was just horribly embarrassing, especially since Caleb was in the process of understanding just how he felt about the fourth-year. He enjoyed spending time with her, even when it was in a group setting. He had found himself leaning towards where she was, looking for her company even if it was for a minute or so. More importantly, he had missed her during the winter break. The blonde had even bought her a christmas present, but he did not have the courage to sent it.

Caleb finally looked up from the amazingly dull stare contest he was currently having with his hands and shyly smiled at Nolan. He was sure he was a bit red still from all the blushing that had happened a minute ago. “She is cool,” he answered to Nolan’s last question. Caleb didn't want to outright admit to Nolan that he was crushing on Claudia, especially since they hung out with her and Connor, and Caleb had heard that they had sort of date before? He hadn't understood exactly what had happened, but Heather had cornered him one day to tell him about it. He had no idea what had compelled her to do it, but he had stayed there blinking the whole time.

Mercifully, before Caleb could continue talking their food arrive. THANK MERLIN. Caleb smiled gratefully as the same redhead waiter as she placed his food in front of him. He took an onion ring and munched thoughtfully on it. He swallowed and smiled, “Your balls sounds fun, actually,” he assessed before taking a sip out of his milkshake. “Maybe it me that's missing all the fun,” he said with a laugh before digging into his chili-cheese fries.
