Fridays were dry goods delivery days at the whole foods store that employed Myfanwy part-time during the months she spent at RMI. The start of term involved a few weeks of getting the balance right between work and school schedules, but she was always down to work on a Friday, even if it was just a couple of hours. Her plain beige linen trousers were dusty from the delivery boxes, but Myfanwy had swapped the store's logo polo shirt for a pink and yellow loose floral blouse as she headed back out onto the mall.

She didn’t need any supplies from the many shops lining Pearl Street’s walkways today, she wasn’t meeting anyone from school in a cafe or on a bench, and she had two bruised pears and some almost-stale bread in her canvas bag, so the seventh year was planning on just going straight back to her commons. However she hadn’t been walking for long when Myffi saw Kit was having some trouble with her bag, so she went over to the younger student to offer to help out. Myfanwy hadn’t even opened her mouth to recommend herself for assistance when Kit piled some rubbish into her arms. Myffi caught it and tried not to draw her own conclusions about what Kit might be doing with two glass bottles (her immediate thought was that she was taking them to the bottle recycling bank, but this was Kit, so the most obvious answer was the least likely), and a flier for yoga - Myffi had done a fair amount of yoga over the summer; if Kit wanted to learn maybe they could go over some positions together? Then Kit proceeded to collect up the items she had dropped, which appeared to be an ice cream wrapper, half a comb, a used toothbrush and an empty drinks can.

“No worries,” Myffi replied with a friendly smile. Holding some bottles for a few seconds was really the very least she would do for a friend. She beamed more widely when Kit explained she was collecting rubbish to repurpose as a sculpture. “Wow, thanks fantastic, Kit!” she said enthusiastically. Then, answering the first part of the question second, she said, “I’ve just been to work. So I’m not really doing anything,” she shrugged. “I was going back to school and I saw you could use a hand. Do you need anything else for your art? I can help you look, if you like.”
