He liked her bow! Remington smiled brightly. It always made her happy when people complimented them. Her dad put lots of work into them, and he’d even started to team up with her mom to make them even cooler for magic school. This one changed colors every few minutes. Her personal favorite was the bow that looked like a cat, and it had its tail wrapped around her hair, making it look like the cat was holding her hair back. Whenever she had an idea for another bow, she’d write her dad and he’d make something in his spare time. Sometimes, he’d just get an idea of his own based on whatever she’d mentioned in her letters. She felt so happy whenever she opened a package from home and a new bow was inside!

She was fine to contemplate the explosive nature of the Quods a little longer, but Drew seemed to be a person of action. He’d gone up in the air with ease. Clearly, he’d flown way more than she had. He looked like a natural! Remington held back a sigh and held onto her broom a little tighter. This would be fine, probably. It was just flying with explosions. It could be worse.

The Draco didn’t fully believe that, but she tried to stay positive anyway.

“Ready when you are!”

“Okay!” Remington tried not to look nervous as she grabbed one of the balls and tossed it up to the younger student. Her aim seemed to be spot on, so that was good. She quickly stumbled before swinging a leg over her broom and pushing off. For a moment, the broom seemed unsure about whether or not it wanted to be in the air right now, and then it decided that this was okay. She was relieved; falling on her face was the last thing she wanted to deal with. That’d be super embarrassing. She’d get right back up but still!

Remington looked around for Drew and spotted him. She flew past him and held out her hands for the ball. “Want to try for that barrel over there? We’re supposed to just go back and forth, right?”
