"Yeah!" Feeling undeniably satisfied at being the first to break this interesting piece of news to the younger girl, Marley nodded vigorously, black curls flopping and then sproinging up again. "Like, multiple people. And that's not all - he's in Dueling Club, too, and I heard that he does real Dark Magic and also punches people there, too, instead of proper dueling." Marley wasn't in the school's Dueling Club, so she couldn't really say how accurate that was, but she'd overheard it from Roger in the commons, who said that Heather Bartel had told him, and she wasn't even sure if Heather was in the Dueling Club either but Heather knew so much about what was happening at RMI that she wouldn't be a tiny bit surprised if she knew all about the Dueling Club, too. Plus, Heather was in Aquila like the punchy guy, which made her an even more reliable source.

It turned out that Kit knew the guy's name. Marley was at first not surprised, because it was a weird name so it made sense that she'd forgotten it, but then she was surprised, because Kit hadn't been here for more than a couple months yet! Surely she hadn't interacted with Ruben when not even Marley, the self-appointed friend of everyone, hadn't even tried getting to know him...

Ooh, no, it was her sister who had told her, probably. Wait. Sister. Marley couldn't remember her name either, but she knew that the captain of the Lyra Quidditch team was an older girl with the same giant hair as Kit. That had to be her sister, right? And if yes (of course it was yes, where else would both have gotten the same hair), well, she seemed to be really good friends with most of the Aquila team, at least as of last year. And that would include the other Chasers. And that gave Marley an Idea. Bit of a weird idea, but still an idea with a capital I, so now she just had to figure out how to make it less weird.

Kit's question snapped her out of her own brain. "Oh?" She hummed a moment, trying to attach some thoughts to the scattered question (something about cats versus puffskeins) without losing her Idea. "Puffskeins are cute, but I think a cat would be more fun. Actually, I think a dog would be most fun. Except dogs aren't allowed at RMI," she sighed, "unless you're disab-- I mean, unless you have a problem or whatever and really truly need a dog. Like Mister Rob." The last time Marley had used the word 'disabled', her gran had scolded her because apparently it was a rude word. That didn't make sense to her, but her opinion didn't matter 'cause she wasn't disabled. Apparently. Meh. "So your sister," she said, unsubtly changing the topic, "she's the Aquila captain, right? Do you know anyone else on the team? I know what a lot of them look like, duh," she laugh-explained, "but outside of games I didn't hang out much with anyone not in Lyra, and even in games, that's not really 'hanging out'."
