Stairs to the Dorms
Up to a little mischief
Thu Feb 22, 2018 06:20

There was a brief moment in the middle of the afternoon when every single student had been out of their dormitory rooms. Maybe some of them were in classes, or Quidditch practice, theatre rehearsals, club meetings, blah blah blah - it didn't matter. They had all been gone, and then something happened.

When the students returned, they would find that the staircases leading to the boys' and girls' dorms had been flipped. That is, a boy trying to enter his dorm would be recognized by the staircase as an imposter and sent directly to the Headmaster's office, and the same for girls. They could go up the opposite staircase, but that would hardly be helpful as it would lead to the rooms of the opposite sex instead of their own. Plus, no one would exactly have time to figure this out - just one foot on their staircase would result in landing in front of the Headmaster, without any chance to switch staircases.

Needless to say, this was going to be extremely inconvenient both for the students and the Headmaster. Fingers crossed that the matter would be resolved before bedtime!
