Hardin, MO 1959 Train Wreck
Sun Jun 10, 2012 23:15

Whenever I am able to locate the couple of pictures from the 1959 Hardin, MO wreck, I will be happy to post them for whomever. > I would be interested to know who "Anonymous'" grandmother was because perhaps I knew her. I lived across the street from the accident. > I was in Hardin last October, and continue to maintain communication with locals. I will 'revisit' this topic with friends from that area who lived there when the accident happened. > On another note, I live ouside of St. Louis, MO. In the past 12 days there have been 3 NEEDLESS deaths by Amtrack trains (i.e. teen boy walking on tracks w/earphones + 2 teenage girls playing the Ghost Train game). How terribly sad. > Of probable interest to the followers of this site, in the 6-10-12 St. Louis Post Dispatch, the artical "In crashes, train crews victims, too" will give insite into the havoc train accidents have on the crew. Thank you, Marge
