Mary McGregorNew Jersey McGregor'sSun Jun 3, 2012 12:3268.40.182.213I have a few New Jersey McG's in my collection. The earliest is Patrick Gregor b. 1654 Aulich, Fortingall, Scotland. He served in the English Army in France (which I though might mean a connection with your relatives) he went to Maryland and worked in Indian Affairs then in 1684 moved to New Jersey. One of his son's went to North Carolina which is heading toward Tenn. There is a question as to his wife, some trees say Margaret Toshack or Thousby, some say an Evan's daughter. Patrick used the last name Gregor or McGregory and died in the Leisler Rebellion in 1691. His wife went to North Carolina probably with their son. Anyone needing info or children I have some dates. This is part of an unfinished tree and has not been totally checked and documented. Some of this information came from the book: "Scottish Settler's in North America."
