Michael, Where are you located? Check out the website for Fire Museum Network which is the international site for member fire museums. In the directory section you can see what fire museums exist near you that may be of help. There is also a resource section with an article on How to start a fire museum.

If you become a member (application available on the site) there is a resource guide that offers suggestions, items and prices for teaching kids fire safety. Most of our member museums teach fire safety and so there will be an abundance of help available. Others may offer help at this site or directly to you. Bill Hall

          Have you tapped into any of the established fire museums in Virginia? Richmond is particularly good. Friendship in Alexandria is very historic but relatively small.
