I remember the Seer Green rail crash because I was travelling by rail from to the RGS that day. It makes no more sense to cite that tragedy as part of a rant against selective education or rugby or both (and your comments seems to switch targets as it suits), than to observe that several of the 96 were not supporting their local team.
Moreover the selection policy in place at the time was set by the LEA with responsibility for education across the county not by the RGS, Aylesbury Grammar, Dr Challoners, Hatters Lane, Wycombe High, William Borlase or any individual school you may wish to name or complain about. I dount that they played football at Lady Verney either - what a bastion of sexist and reactionary thinking?!
