Bury were of course poor, but the general performance and fight in defence and midfield was especially encouraging, as much as knocking four in was a fantastic result. Bury were clearly more disorganised than us and their distribution from the back was pretty suspect and we managed to capitalise on that to control large parts of the game. If they had looked more comfortable on the ball there, they would have had a better chance of finding their tricky forwards in more threatening positions.
Their penalty miss did get our tails up after they had pretty much monopolised possession for the first 5-10 mins of the first half, but I would have been confident that we could have shown some character and come back from that.

Hard to pick a MOM, easy choice would be Beaver, but Marvin and Bloomers have to be in with a shout too as the outstanding performers in a very good team effort.
