---first of many sad (but very necessary) cuts to our expediture that simply will have to be made if we are to have any decent (or even any at all) long-term future.

We are just going to have to accept it, and get used to it.

Some of these cuts are probably going to hurt even more (when around £1million of expediture may have to be intially stripped-out) than the closure of the Centre of excellence.

This is the "price" we are going to have to pay for the ridiculous, profligate & down-right dangerous over-spending over the last 8 years or so. Coupled with the "ownership" decisions made over the same period of time. There is no such thing as "free money" from a so-called owner, benefactor or indeed anywhere else, you know.

To save the "patient", you sometimes have to make drastic surgery.

This is especially hard on those of us who warned & voted against the policies over that time.

But those who voted for/supported these policies really have nothing at all to moan about re what we look like we are about to go through in the short/medium term.

If action had been taken in the early part of the last decade to address these losses, we would not now be in the situation that has brought our club to it's knees. The longer you leave these things, the worse they get.

It really (and very sadly for us) is that simple.
