because it's just down the road and footballers, as is the same with most other people, don't really like re-locating too far if they don't need to. Also, seeing as Brentford are usually around Wycombe in the football league pyramid, the standard of players are similar which makes transfers between the two clubs possible. Therefore, I don't think it's a case of selectively picking up Brentford players due to past sentiment, as Waddock has no previous links with them, it's more just a logistical factor.
