I have no idea whether the trust volunteered to takeover the club or felt they had little choice with no other alternatives.
I would suggest judge the new regime after it has taken over not before. it apparently may be as soon as today. And then you can have all the cake sales and tombolas you wish.
I would suggest be realistic about your expectations, while I would expect more communication, I do not expect an early Ebbsfleet style regime with fans voting on every decision from who plays number 9 to which brand of pies are sold in the tea bars.
It will be hard and success on the field will be hard to find or fund. The supporters of the club will need to learn to give those running the club a degree of trust. I very much doubt if those making decisions about the academy joined the trust with a view to one day grabbing control of the club so they can take pleasure out of closing down the youth system. Presumably with all the facts available with a heavy heart they concluded that it was in the best interests of the club. Without better information I think we have to trust them on that. Do I expect this to happen, no. Go read the Exeter boards and you will see their supporters as anti their leadership and chairman as those on this board have been about ours. I bet the Exeter leadership is doing what they think is in the interests of that club though.
Oh and yes I do support them, wish them well and hope for success. Not to do so, given that they are at least the short term future of the club, strikes me as a pretty bizarre attitude.

It seems as though, and this might be just my interpretation or the way its being presented, that Hayes is dropping Wycombe and the trust are stepping in, rather tan this being a trust land grab, but ... more
