I don't agree that one should be taken more seriously than an other, why should someone have to tolerate, for example, being told that they want to shag one of their sisters/mums or abuse someone for being ginger/short (neither of which are a lifestyle choice).

If you can tell me, without saying 'because of history', I would like to know, why one is more serious than the other.

Just to point out I'm not under estimating the seriousness of racism, I'm just saying why isn't other abuse taken as seriously.
