"Sir Bobby Charlton says his scepticism about women's football has been confounded by the Olympics action, which has seen Great Britain make the quarter-finals.
The former Manchester United striker, who won the World Cup with England in 1966, said: "I have been watching women's games on television and I have had to remind myself I am not watching the men. And I mean that as a compliment.
"They pass, they tackle, they head and they're organised. I have to admit I was sceptical about the women's game. That was a mistake. I should never have underestimated them the way I did. Women's football used to be ridiculed but not any more.""
Wait, you mean they... play football? Who'd have thought, eh?
And if you are going to talk about the NHS I'll just point out that the public sector nurses needed to be helped out the private sector's Mary Poppins! ;)
