were you there? Ok, it was only a friendly so no points were at stake. But if we are going to stick our heads in the sand, and accept that was the effort that the squad were putting in to win their places in the starting line up for the start of the season proper, then we have reason to worry.
It is not so much the result it is the team shape, balance, communication issues (see Basey OG), lack of fitness prevalent in new signings such as Logan and Oli who are frankly overweight, lack of attacking creativity, continuation of defensive weaknesses and inexperience throughout the squad that are all glaring problems. Choosing to ignore that because friendlies are pointless is just being ignorant.

No decent team could play that badly if they tried. People wont pay to watch football that poor. Waddock has taken us backwards yet again and I predict record low attendances this season.
I'll say for the last time, friendly's mean NOTHING. I made the same mistake when I watched the game below, and thought it meant something. It obviously didn't.... more
