Gareth Ainsworth

"It was disappointing because we wanted to win that one. It shows that when we are missing some key players that we have to step-up better.

"Akinfenwa was a late call because he hasn't trained all week, but he's on fire so there was no qualms with putting him in.

"It's opportunities for people coming in but we didn't look confident. We looked nervy and playing against the wind in the first half didn't help. And it started from there. We didn't really get hold of the game and tried to play in the wrong areas. When we went long, we went long without quality.

"We had a definite penalty and the Notts County player threw his arms in the air as if to say I've not done anything wrong, but why would Myles go down there?

"But we can't blame that for not winning the game. We conceded a rubbish goal and we didn't work their goalkeeper hard enough."

"We're disappointed. When we miss key players, we need to step up better. We gave opportunities to players but we looked nervy."

"It was a definite penalty, but we can't use that as an excuse for losing the game. We huffed and puffed but lacked quality today."

"It looks like we'll need to win at least five of the remaining games, but we're optimistic. There's more twists & turns to come."

"Scott Kashket has a nasty injury which is still hanging round. We hope to see him again in the final few games."

Kevin Nolan (Notts County Manager)

"We really nullified Wycombe and their strengths. We were very worthy of the win.

"I was thrilled with the way we went about it because we didn't let them build momentum.

"It was a fantastic result because we've not only won the game, but we have kept a clean sheet as well against a team who pose a real attacking threat.

"We knew they were going to throw everything at us but I felt we dealt it with it very well.

"They had few half chances but it was tricky because the conditions were difficult."

With seven games remaining, Wanderers have now officially avoided relegation.
