Gareth Ainsworth

"It will be a good feeling to come back here on the 5th August knowing we have played well tonight and won the game. There was some good finishing with some chances created and we really kept Wimbledon's threat to a minimum so I'm really pleased.

"We've worked hard on bringing the right players in and I think that Adam El-Abd and Nathan Tyson have fit in really well. Character wise they are both spot on, and you saw tonight glimpses of Adam's cool, calmness and tenacity at the back and that Nathan will be a threat as he has got pace to burn. I think his best years are now as he's experienced and is going to cause all sorts of problems in League Two.

"So I'm really pleased with them two but we've also got the stalwarts in there too where it must be great for them to know that we've added some quality and I'm looking forward to the season."
