Gareth Ainsworth

"Do not underestimate that result. This is a tough place, we knew that last year, there are two solid strikers for Cambridge in (Uche) Ikpeazu and (Jabo) Ibehre but the boys kept them quiet. The unsung heroes are the boys at the back.

"But the headlines will go to Eze. Ironically, the story is I worked with him yesterday and said 'you're due a goal, you don't have to put it in the top corner.' What does he go and do? He puts it in the top corner, so what do I know! Fantastic talent, and what a great character to have around.

"I love working with him. The older boys are rubbing off on him, they're complementing him, they're making sure he doesn't get too high and keeping his feet on the floor, but he's a talent and I think he's going to be opening a few eyes very soon. I'm just glad we've got him, at least until January.

"Today's about a great professional performance. We have times in games, 25 minutes when we're on top of teams and it's about taking your chances. I'm so proud, to be a Wycombe Wanderers fan is brilliant at the moment."

"I’ve gone in the dressing room after the game and said we’ve picked up two serious injuries this week and I’ve always said injuries will hurt us.”

“Nathan [Tyson] has a nasty knee injury there and Michael broke his leg midweek so that result is for them two and I hope Harry is listening as he is part of what we want to achieve.

“To have that [scoring record] and to be a Wycombe Wanderers fan is brilliant at the moment. Loving every moment but keeping my feet on the floor, I’ve always said that since day one.

“Exeter next week so we’ll have a look at them and see how the legs are for everyone to perform in that one.”
