Gareth Ainsworth

“It was a 0-0 draw all over it; I thought we were the better team in the first half and played some good stuff, but Coventry came back into it in the second half.

“The game hinged on one mistake, which is hard to take, but mistakes can be costly. [Joe Jacobson] has put his hand up in the dressing room but we win and lose together and we won’t be singling anyone out. He’s been fantastic for us over four years and been one of our most consistent players, so we go forward together as Wycombe.

“We looked good for a point and I think if either team had won it, the other would have felt harshly done by, and that’s us.

“On other days we’ve created several chances and buried a few of them, so it was frustrating not to score tonight, but it was an improvement on Saturday. We’re third in the table with 11 games to go, so for me, it’s game on.

“The expectation here has risen but I take that as a compliment because we’re up there at the top end of the table. There are 21 teams who would love to be where we are. So we’ll keep going and if we can get back to winning ways then we’ll be up there at the end of the season.”
