Gareth Ainsworth

“First half we dominated, more so than the second, and conceded on one breakaway. I didn’t rant and rave at half-time; I knew if we played the same we’d get one and get another.

"On the whole we deserved it. Adam’s got a great first goal and the little magician has popped up with the winner. He was lively.

"I thought Randall Williams had a fantastic debut. A really, really good debut. I know what to expect, I've watched him in training and he has been on fire in training. Randall has been so patient and he's been looking at me with these eyes, longing to start, and saying: 'gaffer what do I have to do in training to start a game.'

"It's a tough decision not to play him, with the options we have, you've got these fantastic forwards and you have to wait your turn. So when it does come, take it and I think he did a good job in taking it.

"He was a thorn in their side, and he's got plenty of stuff to learn, but you only get that by playing games. He'll be a good player, Randall, and I'm sure he's got a good career ahead of him.

"He's got to concentrate and keep being this thorn in defenders' side when he plays. A great debut - really pleased for him.

“On the whole we deserved it. Adam’s got a great first goal and the little magician has popped up with the winner. He was lively.

“We need to get more wins on the board before anyone gets carried away. It’ll do us good to have this week off and get a few of the lads back up to full fitness.

“The fans never stopped. Even at 1-0 down, after the Morecambe and Port Vale experiences, they stuck with us and you could feel the buzz around the place. It’s great to see.”
