Gareth Ainsworth

"This is incredible. I am so, so proud of these boys. So so proud. I just can't believe it.

"We needed two results to go our way and this is absolutely brilliant.

"The lads have been fantastic and Dobbo and the staff I have had have been outstanding and for Dom to get the winning goal, what a moment that is. We were gritty and we dug in and thankfully we got the win and I am so so proud of everyone."

"It is now Sunderland away next year and I am so looking forward to it.

"I was nearly in tears at the final whistle and I am an emotional guy and feel every kick and every shout.

"I had loan players and lads who weren't involved in the squad running on the pitch and it is just a feeling you can't bottle. I will never forget it and I am so thankful for the job the boys have done. They were brilliant."

"Yves Ma-Kalambay said to me at the end 'you deserve it' and I said no, 'we do'.

"There is no I in team and every fan who turned up all season and all the players have played their part.

"We can now try and prepare for League One and it is still pinch me time. It hasn't sunk in.

"I am so thankful for the work Andrew Howard and Trevor Stroud have done and I have had total backing from them.

"I said to the boys before the game this isn't pressure. I wanted every out there as if this is the day and they did that.

"Everybody has contributed. The likes of Tafari Moore and Nathan McGinley have got a promotion in their first season of football.

"I am so proud of everybody connected with this club."

League Table

Wanderers were promoted after their 2-1 comeback victory at Chesterfield was coupled with a 3-1 defeat for Exeter City at Stevenage and a 2-1 loss for Notts County at Grimsby Town.

Perhaps the most thoroughly deserved and hardworked promotion since Wanderers gained promotion to the Football League some 25 years ago.
