81.129.252.159

Wanderers will be in the draw for the First Round Proper of the FA Cup when it is made on Monday evening (22nd October 2018) live on BBC Two from 7pm. Wanderers have been allocated ball No.47.

The First Round ties will be played around the weekend of Saturday 10th November 2018. 48 League One and Two sides will be in the hat along with the 32 winners of the Fourth Qualifying Round, which takes place this weekend (Saturday 21st October 2018).

Prize fund for 2018/19 has been virtually doubled compared to the previous campaign.

Winners in the First Round will each receive £36,000 compared to £18,000 in 2017/18.

Last season, Wanderers reached the Third Round after beating Solihull Borough away and then Leatherhead at Adams Park; adding around £70,000 to their 'Football Fortune' fund from round winning and TV revenue funds before crashing out 5-1 to Preston at Adams Park in the Third Round.

Summary of FA Cup prize fund – 2018/19

Preliminary round winners (160) £2,890 Losers receive £960
First round qualifying winners (116) £6,000
Second Round Qualifying winners (80) £9,000
Third Round Qualifying winners (40) £15,000
Fourth Round Qualifying winners (32) £25,000
First Round Proper winners (40) £36,000
Second Round Proper winners (20) £54,000
Third Round Proper winners (32) £135,500

Semi-Final losers (2) £900,000
Final runners-up (1) £1,800,000
Final winners (1) £3,600,000

Based on the above figures, if Wanderers reached the semi-final (as per the 2000/2001 season) they would secured a minimum of £2m from the round fund alone. Add on to that TV and other media rights, would take the figure closer to £3m. Now that would be ‘Football Fortune’.
