Gareth Ainsworth

from wwfcofficial

"We deserved it. If thatís my best home run as a manager as Iíve been told, then thatís brilliant. Their second goal was a gift but we saw the game out and Iím delighted.Ē

ďWeíve gone into the top half, but letís not get carried away.Ē

Also from press conference

"This winning run at home hasn't been a flash in the pan.

"We have really worked and deserved most of those wins. The Scunthorpe win [3-2 in the last minute] was a one-off but the rest of them we have ground it out.

"We are beginning to make this place a fortress. The away form has always been quite decent under me so if we can get the home form going it is a really good equation to get many points on the board.

"I think the lads are comfortable at home. We have this core support who are coming in and making a lot of noise, which is great.

"They helped us to see out the game and it is brilliant to make Adams Park the fortress it once was and I am so proud of the efforts of everyone.

"Shrewsbury are a tough side. Danny [Coyne] has them playing well and we were able to see the game out well. Aaron Holloway was always going to score but after his goal, we weren't troubled too much apart from that ridiculous goal in the second half.

"We played very well going forward and we found a few holes and it is nice when it comes off. Joe's goal was a fantastic strike and those bits of magic come off and Alex deserved his goal, he led the line brilliantly."
